How Was the IAAPA Expo 2021! [A first-time attendee’s perspective]

How was the tradeshow?
Many things have changed in the past 2 years but some things remain the same. Human connection with industry peers is one amazing feeling!
We missed IAAPA. We missed the people, the exhibitors, the innovative attractions, and the excitement and buzz around the 4-day event.
For the ones that are curious to see how the event unfolded through our eyes, we’ve decided to write this brief piece, walking you through the IAAPA Expo 2021 through my eyes, a first-time attendant at one of the largest tradeshows for the Location-Based Entertainment Industry.
IAAPA Expo is the hot spot for featuring new products, cutting-edge services, educational sessions from industry leaders, and networking opportunities.
People had a blast playing our VR Games!
I learned quickly that there are so many innovations showcased at the show. Way more than I thought.
Checking online who will be there and how things will unfold, I never quite grasped how impressive the entire tradeshow actually is. Then the installation day came around.
The attractions industry is fun and vibrant. From big shiny booths, all types of systems, amazing people to impressive arcades and inflatables, it was impressive to walk around!
Big attendance with people eager to test out products and buy attractions for their venues.
Although the entire industry was unsure how many people will be attending, especially outside of the US, given the fact that even we broke a sweat or two trying to make our way from Europe (but we successfully made it!), it was definitely crowded. When the 10 AM mark hit on Tuesday, November 16th, and we heard “The show has started!”, people just kept coming in. It was overwhelmingly fun.

Attendees came prepared
What I actually enjoyed was that people came by to not only test our Arkadia VR Arena, but they had lots of questions prepared before coming to Orlando. Researched questions regarding how the VR Arena works, how it drives profit, our unique features, and so on.
They knew what they were looking for.
Apart from the couple of dozens of bookings we had scheduled before the show, people were coming in to test our newest VR Games and they were thrilled! It was definitely dynamic and the days just flew by!
