QBIX Kicks Off Big in Japan: 6,000 Players in 30 Days at Monkey Park

First Theme Park Launch, First 6,000 Players

Moneky Park x QBIX

Japan Monkey Park, a longtime favorite in Nagoya, just became the first theme park in the world to add QBIX, the 6-player immersive gaming room, and the results came in fast. As a result, the response was immediate and impressive, with over 6,000 players experiencing the immersive gaming room within just four weeks during the March–April 2025 period.

So why did QBIX take off so quickly here?

QBIX pulls people in, it’s attractive, it’s visual, and it grabs attention right away. As soon as one group starts playing, others immediately take notice. Consequently, guests see the excitement and want to jump in just as fast.

We’re seeing firsthand how a simple-to-run, group-based game like QBIX can drive traffic and energy across a theme park. We were impressed by this premiere of having over 6000 players in just 4 weeks!

Part of a Bigger Picture: The "Triple Mission"

QBIX plays a key role in a bigger vision, a set of three attractions the Park calls the ‘Triple Mission.’ The Park groups these attractions to guide guests from one experience to the next. In turn, the flow keeps guests engaged and motivates them to come back for more.

QBIX has helped elevate customer satisfaction and enhanced the group dynamics around our Triple Mission setup. Its operation is simple, and the experience is consistently smooth.

Full Japanese Localization? Absolutely.

Every bit of QBIX, from on-screen instructions to character voiceover, was fully translated and localized for Japanese players. It was built to feel natural for families, kids, and teens alike. That made it easier for guests to jump in without confusion or hesitation.

TIP: QBIX is localized in 7 languages and continues to adapt the language to all the locations where it‘s currently operating!

What We Saw, Up Close After This Installation:

Families came back

Staff noticed repeat visits, especially families looking to beat each other’s scores. The scoring system made it easy to get competitive, without feeling overly serious.

No friction pricing

Whether included in the day pass or purchased solo for 400 yen, it was an easy “yes” for guests.

It works in a crowd

Groups naturally formed (see above). People watched, laughed, and then lined up to play. It created its momentum.

Japan Monkey Park continues to draw in one of the biggest numbers of players, so it’s a testament to the attraction seamlessly fits into this concept, from game, design, and experience.
